The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce that Cégep de Trois-Rivières student-athlete Julianne Clément has been selected as a recipient of the 2025-26 CCAA Torchbearer Scholarship, presented by FieldTurf.
Clément served as the initiator and lead coordinator of a Diablos-wide fundraising campaign in support of Noël du Coeur, an organization dedicated to helping families in need during the holiday season. Through strategic planning, promotion, and collaboration across the college community, she successfully engaged more than 400 contributors and raised $1,445 to support families in the Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec regions. Motivated by a desire to give back and make a meaningful impact, Clément used her platform as a student-athlete to raise awareness and inspire action. Her initiative extended beyond fundraising, fostering a culture of generosity, solidarity, and social responsibility within the Diablos program. “Julianne demonstrated remarkable determination, leadership, and perseverance throughout this initiative,” said Molly Racicot, head coach of the Diablos women’s volleyball team. “Her ability to rally her peers and create meaningful impact in such a short timeframe speaks to her character and commitment to her community.” Balancing the demands of academics, athletics, and community engagement, Clément dedicated nearly 80 hours to organizing and executing the campaign. Her efforts not only provided tangible support to families in need but also highlighted the powerful role student-athletes can play as leaders beyond sport. The CCAA Torchbearer Scholarship, presented by FieldTurf, recognizes student-athletes who exemplify leadership, community involvement, and academic excellence. |

A Police Technology student and member of the Diablos women’s volleyball team, Clément has demonstrated exceptional leadership through her commitment to community service and her ability to mobilize those around her for a greater cause.
