At the national level, Macpherson dedicated more than a decade of service to the CCAA as Women's Basketball National Convenor. After first serving in the role during the 1985-86 season, she returned from 1998 to 2008, helping guide the development of women's basketball and contributing to the continued growth of the association. "Respected by athletes, coaches and colleagues for her practical approach, expertise and commitment to excellence, Linda MacPherson has been a trusted mentor and inspiration," said Murray Macdonell. "She generously shared her knowledge and encouraged others to reach their potential. Being inducted into the CCAA Hall of Fame in the Builder category is a fitting recognition of her impact." Working in collegiate sport during a period of significant evolution for the CCAA, Macpherson consistently demonstrated a commitment to advancing opportunities for student-athletes and strengthening the collegiate sport system across the country. Her leadership, professionalism, and collaborative approach earned the respect of colleagues throughout Canada. Through her service at the institutional, provincial, and national levels, Macpherson played an important role in shaping the student-athlete experience and supporting the continued growth of collegiate athletics. Her dedication to Vanier College, the RSEQ, and the CCAA leaves a lasting legacy that continues to benefit student-athletes and athletic programs across Canada. Linda Macpherson was officially welcomed into the CCAA Hall of Fame during a special celebration on June 16 at Cégep Montmorency, recognizing her outstanding contributions to collegiate athletics in Canada.
