Day One at the CCAA Golf Championships

The opening round of the 2025 PING CCAA National Golf Championships took place today at Desert Blume Golf Course in Medicine Hat, marking the first day of competition for Canada’s top collegiate golfers. In the Men’s Team standings, SAIT leads the way at -1, followed closely by Cégep Champlain St. Lawrence (E) and Humber Polytechnic (+3). Medicine Hat College is tied for fourth with Cégep André-Laurendeau, both sitting at +10 after Round 1. On the Women’s Team side, OCAA 1 holds the top position at +9, just one stroke ahead of RSEQ (+10), with OCAA 2 rounding out the top three at +14. In the Men’s Individual leaderboard, Thomas Grenier (St. Lawrence) and Chris Colberg (SAIT) share the top spot at -3 (69), while Jadan Patel (SAIT) and William Bellavance (St. Lawrence) follow closely at -2 (70). Michael McCullough (Humber) and Édouard Laflamme (St. Lawrence) are tied at -1 (71), and Wyatt Bishop (Medicine Hat College) sits tied for seventh at E (72). For the Women’s Individual competition, it’s a three-way tie for first as Susan Chen (Humber), Ava Bechard (Humber), and Sofia DeZordo (St. Lawrence) each carded +4 (76). Jordan Newlands (Humber) follows closely at +5 (77), with Jade Lecompte (John Abbott) in fifth at +6 (78). Play continues tomorrow with Round 2 at Desert Blume Golf Course.
