Casorso shot a 66 in the league’s final round to capture the individual silver medal in the PACWEST. The steadily improving Casorso was the only PACWEST golfer to shoot three rounds under 70 over the season. Casorso sets a strong example for fellow golfers with his work ethic and commitment.

Vanderpas was the individual gold medal winner and Men’s Player of the Year in the PACWEST. The Langara rookie also qualified for a Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada) event in 2016. Vanderpas is extremely focused and dedicated to success and takes all of the necessary steps to achieve his goals.

Gorieu led the Griffins to the 2016 ACAC Championship title as well as first-place finishes at North and South regionals. He also earned individual silver at provincials. Gorieu is a high-level performer, who is consistently at the top of the leaderboard. He loves the pressure of having the team on his shoulders.

The 2016 ACAC Male Golfer of the Year captured individual and team gold at the North and South Regionals as well as the ACAC Championships. Belland is an extremely hard-working student-athlete who is always trying to elevate his game. In his final season, Belland developed into a closer, winning three straight events by a single stroke.

Dixon shot an even-par 72 in the final round to win individual gold at the 2016 OCAA Championships, finishing the three-round tournament at an impressive six-under. The Knights also successfully defended their team title. Dixon, a recipient of the CCAA National Scholar and CCAA Academic All-Canadian awards, is a consummate team player.

McCullough earned individual silver and team bronze medals at the 2016 OCAA Championships. The two-time CCAA All-Canadian is as consistent a golfer that there has been at Humber. McCullough brings an air of leadership to the Hawks, mentoring younger players and ensuring that they work hard to become better student-athletes.

St. Lawrence Lions

Smith led the Boomerang to team gold at the 2016 RSEQ Championships. Individually, he tied for first at provincials with back-to-back 73’s. Smith is a great teammate with a strong commitment to his game. He is a fierce competitor on the course but afterwards, Smith ensures that the team’s journey is as enjoyable as possible.

Bélanger was the overall individual champion in the RSEQ. Individually, he finished in the Top 5 in each round and also led the Lions to first-place team finishes in three tournaments. Bélanger, who placed fifth at the junior provincial championship in 2016, is also a member of the national development team.

Holland Hurricanes

Jenkins returned to the Hurricanes in 2016 with an improved game and a goal to make it to the CCAA National Championships. He led Holland to a gold medal in team play at the ACAA Championships and also finished second individually at provincials. Jenkins is driven to improve with every golf round played.

Gavin fired a final-round 68 to lead the Hurricanes to their 11th straight ACAA Championship crown in Men’s team play. He also captured the individual gold medal. Gavin, who placed fifth at CCAA Nationals last fall, is a well-liked teammate. His relaxed demeanor is matched by a warm personality, which makes him a great ambassador for golf.
