The best of Canadian collegiate women’s soccer arrives in Alberta as Red Deer Polytechnic welcomes eight national contenders for the 2025 CCAA Women’s Soccer Championship.
Four exciting opening-day Quarterfinal Matchups presented by SoccerX will set the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable week of competition.
Match 1 – 10:00 a.m. MT
The St. Clair Saints (OCAA Champions) face the MSVU Mystics (ACAA Champions) to kick off the tournament. St. Clair enters riding the momentum of an OCAA title run, while MSVU looks to play spoiler and make an early statement on the national stage.
Match 2 – 12:30 p.m. MT
The Élans de Garneau (RSEQ Wildcard) meet the CUE Thunder (ACAC Champions) in a compelling interprovincial showdown. Garneau brings depth and consistency across its roster, while CUE looks to carry its strong conference form onto the national stage.
Match 3 – 3:00 p.m. MT
The Ahuntsic Aigles (RSEQ Champions) take on the Brandon Bobcats (MCAC Champions) in a clash of conference winners. Ahuntsic enters as one of the national favourites after a dominant RSEQ campaign, while Brandon aims to carry the momentum from their MCAC title into Red Deer.
Match 4 – 5:30 p.m. MT
The day concludes with the VIU Mariners (PACWEST Champions) battling the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens (ACAC Wildcard) in front of the home crowd. VIU brings national experience and pedigree, but the Queens will have the full support of their fans as they look to open their championship run in dramatic fashion.
