NAIT & Conestsoga will battle for CCAA Men's Soccer Bronze

The final bronze semi-final of Day 3 at the 2025 CCAA Men’s Soccer National Championship saw the NAIT Ooks edge out the UKC Blue Devils 2-1 in a tightly contested match at Seaway Park 3. With overcast skies and a brisk afternoon breeze, both teams battled for a spot in Saturday’s bronze medal match. 

UKC struck first in the 27th minute through forward Beckham Zwaan (#21), who capitalized on a well-timed run to give the Blue Devils an early lead. NAIT responded with determination, equalizing in the 54th minute thanks to a composed finish from midfielder Ryak Kabashi (#14). The Ooks continued to press, and in the 69th minute, Ranjeet Singh Brar (#18) delivered the match-winner, securing a 2-1 victory. 

Marco Portela (#20) earned 4-Imprint Player of the Game honors for NAIT, anchoring the midfield with poise and contributing to both defensive transitions and attacking buildup. For UKC, Luke Kostaka (#9) was a standout, driving the Blue Devils’ offense with creativity and relentless work rate, earning Player of the Game recognition for his efforts. 

With the win, NAIT advances to the bronze medal match against the OCAA’s Conestoga Condors on Saturday at noon. The match capped off a dramatic and competitive third day at Champlain College, setting the stage for a thrilling final day of championship action. 

In the second match of Day 3 at the 2025 CCAA Men’s Soccer National Championship, the Conestoga Condors and les Nomades de Montmorency faced off in a high-stakes bronze semi-final at Seaway Park 3. With a spot in the medal round on the line, both teams came out with intensity under cool, cloudy skies. 

Conestoga struck early, with Marko Lesic (#14) opening the scoring in the 10th minute and doubling his tally just after halftime in the 47th. Luca Romano (#21) added a third in the 38th minute, giving the Condors a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the second half. Montmorency responded in the 55th minute with a composed penalty finish from Ilyas Mardi (#9), but the deficit proved too steep to overcome. 

Cadian Cardos (#29) earned 4-Imprint Player of the Game honors for Conestoga, anchoring the backline and helping neutralize Montmorency’s attacking threats. For the Nomades, Marcus Lubérisse (#3) stood out with his defensive leadership and ball recovery, earning Player of the Game recognition for his tireless effort. 

Conestoga advances to the bronze medal match, which is scheduled for Saturday at 12:00 PM in Saint-Lambert
