2020 CCAA Badminton All-Canadians
The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce the 2020 CCAA Badminton All-Canadians.
The student-athletes, who are selected by their conference based on performance and contribution to the sport and their team, were honoured during the 2020 CCAA Badminton National Championships banquet, hosted by the University of Toronto Mississauga.

| In her final year of eligibility, Wang racked up a total of five first-place finishes in ACAC Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles play. Now a four-time CCAA All-Canadian, Wang went undefeated in Women’s Singles and Women’s Doubles action. The two-time CCAA Player of the Year and CCAA Champion has been a model student-athlete and an excellent mentor to her Thunder teammates. Wang also shares her passion for the sport as a coach at B-Active Badminton Club. | Kim dominated ACAC competition this season, going undefeated in Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles play to lead the Ooks to a first-place finish in the conference standings. In three regular season tournaments, he earned a pair of first-place finishes in Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles as well as a first-place finish in Mixed Doubles. Kim, who is a well-respected and knowledgeable coach at B-Active Badminton Club, always showcases fair play and sportsmanship. | |

| In her first season with the Huskies, Le walked through the OCAA competition, going undefeated without dropping a set in Women’s Singles play. The OCAA Player of the Year earned gold in every event she participated in and led George Brown to its third straight title in OCAA Women’s Badminton. Le possesses top-notch leadership skills and is a fantastic student-athlete with a positive attitude. She boasts a high badminton IQ and is an elite player who remains humble. | Taneja, who earned a CCAA bronze medal in Men’s Doubles a year ago, finished on the podium seven times this season in the OCAA. He earned a Men’s Singles title at Centennial and recorded first-place finishes in Men’s Doubles at Cambrian and OCAA Regionals, where he led the Hawks to the men’s team title. Taneja has been a leader since arriving at Humber in 2018 and has worked hard to become one of the top players in the OCAA. | |

| Zhu took the ACAA by storm in her first year with the Blue Devils. The ACAA Player of the Year went a perfect 24-0 in Women’s Doubles play. She was also victorious at the 2019 Yonex Atlantic Series Championship and was a member of the 2019 Team PEI squad that competed in the Canada Games. Zhu is unfazed and unflinching, and her talent is paralleled only by her focus on the court. She also coaches at the Junior Badminton Training Centre. | Mason, who has compiled an ACAA record of 117-2 in his three years with UKC, qualified for the CCAA Championships for the third straight season. He earned a Men’s Singles title at the 2019 Yonex Atlantic Series Championships and was a finalist at the Yonex Scott Open, PEI Open and Yonex Longard Open. Mason, a 2019 CCAA silver medalist in Men’s Doubles, is a diligent and mature student-athlete who manages a hefty workload while maintaining strong academic standing and athletic prowess. | |
