The Mariners captured the PACWEST crown for the third straight season with a 94-77 victory over the Capilano Blues in the conference championship game. Led by PACWEST Player of the Year Usama Zaid, VIU finished atop the PACWEST standings with a 16-2 record in the regular season. They’ll face George Brown, the wildcard entry from the OCAA. Led by fifth-year guard Ajahmo Clarke, the Huskies went 19-1 to finish first in the OCAA East Division. George Brown fell 76-74 to Sheridan in the OCAA Championship game.


Nomades de Montmorency (2) vs.
Lethbridge Kodiaks (7)

MATCH 2: 3 p.m. AT

The Nomades went 13-1 in the regular season to finish atop the RSEQ standings. Montmorency defeated the Vanier Cheetahs 85-71 to capture the conference championship. They’re led by sophomores Alix Lochard and Kevin Civil. Montmorency will face the ACAC wildcard Kodiaks, who were defeated 85-65 by the SAIT Trojans in the ACAC Championship game. Lethbridge went 15-6 in the regular season to finish in a tie for second place with the Trojans in the ACAC South Division. 


Holland Hurricanes (4) vs.
SAIT Trojans (5)

MATCH 3: 6 p.m. AT


The Hurricanes aren’t your average host, having captured the ACAA Championship crown with an 81-70 victory over Mount Allison. Holland’s potent offence is led by fifth-year forward Trenity Burdine. The Hurricanes will certainly have home-court advantage when they take on the ACAC Champion Trojans. SAIT earned the ACAC title with an 85-65 victory over Lethbridge. The Trojans were 15-6 in the regular season, finishing in a tie for second in the ACAC South Division.


Sheridan Bruins (1) vs.
Mount Allison Mounties (8)

Thursday, March 16
MATCH 4: 8 p.m. AT

The top-seeded Bruins defeated George Brown 76-74 in the OCAA final to capture the conference championship. Sheridan, ranked No. 1 in the CCAA since Jan. 24, went 16-0 in the regular season to place first in the OCAA West Division. They’ll face Mount Allison, which will represent the ACAA. The Mounties were defeated 81-70 by Holland in the conference championship final. Mount Allison went 17-4 in the regular season to finish second in the conference.
