Douglas Royals vs. Langara Falcons

It’s one versus two as the Douglas Royals (3-2-1) visit the Langara Falcons (2-1-2) in the tightly contested PACWEST. The Royals (CCAA No. 6) would love to enter the CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship as both the Host and PACWEST Champion, but the Falcons (CCAA No. 11) stand in their way. Langara has allowed a league-low three goals on the season, while Douglas has a league-best nine markers.

SAIT Trojans vs. MHC Rattlers

Recently minted atop the CCAA Men’s Soccer Rankings, the undefeated SAIT Trojans (5-0-0) head south to take on the Medicine Hat Rattlers (3-2-1). The Trojans love to control the game and keep their opponents off the scoresheet, but the Rattlers have a strong defensive/goalkeeping unit of their own.

Seneca College is hosting a women’s 6k race and a men’s 8k race this weekend at the second OCAA Cross-Country Running Invitational of the season. The event will be a preview of the King Campus course on Lake Seneca, where the Sting will be hosting the country’s best collegiate runners at the CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championships on November 10.

The highly anticipated rematch of last year’s CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship final will take place this weekend in Quebec City. Garneau, which defeated Saint-Lambert 1-0 last November in Halifax to win CCAA gold for the fourth straight season, will host Saint-Lambert on Sunday as the top two ranked Women’s Soccer teams in the CCAA clash in the first of two regular season matchups this season. The Élans (5-0) are ranked No. 1 in the country, while the Cavaliers (4-0) sit second in the RSEQ as well as in the national rankings.

The defending ACAA champion Holland Hurricanes (4-1-1), fresh off their first loss of the season last Sunday at the hands of the St. Thomas Tommies, have a pair of tough road games this weekend. Holland, currently sitting No. 6 in CCAA Rankings, will travel to Halifax to take on the MSVU Mystics (3-1-2) on Saturday before facing the UKC Blue Devils (3-1-1) the following afternoon. The Hurricanes will host the 2018 CCAA Men’s Soccer National Championship from Nov. 7-10 in Cornwall, PE.
